What are the best strategies for golfers to become successful on this team?
Do golfers get professional swing help?
Brian Marini, our phenomenal pro out at Plum, has been kind enough to provide our Hays CISD golfers with free group lessons on Tuesdays and Thursdays. I will let specified golfers know when they are going to be working with him, as we can only send 3-4 players for each lesson.
Coach Ramon has a background in playing high-level high school and college golf. However, is not a swing pro that can help develop a players swing nearly as much as a certified swing pro.
When do golfers head to practice?
The past 3 years, the golf period has been scheduled for 7th and 8th period, which both begin at 2:50 PM on all block schedule days.
How will players get to the golf course for practice?
As of now, the district does not provide transportation through a scheduled bus route this year. We ask that players be shuttled to the golf course by their parents or teammates (with parent approval) each day of the week at 2:50 PM.
Where do golfers put their clubs during the school day?
Some players have parents who bring their clubs to the course when students are dropped off by the bus. Other players who have parents who are unable to meet them at the course during the day bring their clubs to school and put them in Coach Ramon’s class. (Room A201)
